Moroniikioi (もろにきおい, lit. Bodily Force) is the name given to a group of beings, either human or spiritual, who have trained in order to harness the natural energy within their own body; which is considered the the opposite to spiritual energy, being dubbed as life energy by some practitioners of the art - while others have refereed to it simply as Chakra. Chakra is the art of harnessing the inherent, innate energy laced within one's own body and either using it to bolster one's own ability to fight via hand-to-hand combat, swordsmanship, or by projecting it as an invisible-yet-tangible force that can damage objects distant from the wielder. These powers are generally manifested through meditation and physical training, and as a result, are stronger in those who possess a greater level of strength in terms of the physical aspects of ones power. However, the main downside is that the techniques utilized instead use the individuals own life energy in lieu of spiritual energy, making the skills utilized very much a double-edged sword.
Chakra Breakdown Edit
In basic Moroniikioi traditions, Rosuto Shiba focused largely on the seven main Chakra points; which he eventually perfected during his exile in the Human World when within a Gigai so he could effectively defend himself without alerting Soul Society to his spiritual signature. A list of the Chakra points used predominately are listed below:
|Sahasrara: The Crown Chakra||Sahasrara is either located at the top of the head in that one area, or a little way above it.||Sahasrara chakra symbolizes detachment from illusion; an essential element in obtaining supra-mental higher consciousness of the truth that one is all and all is one. This allows the one utilizing this particular Chakra to see through illusions that may be cast upon them, as their brain is now fit to process the information gained through the senses - which makes one immune to the effects of illusion-based techs, though this level of concentration can quickly drain the user and leave them quite fatigued. The level of fatigue seems to effect Humans more than spiritual beings, though why is largely unknown. Meditation is the most common method of training one's Sahasrara chakra.|
|Ajna: The Brow Chakra||The Ajna chakra is positioned in the brain, directly behind the eyebrow center, while its ksehtram or superficial activation site is at the eyebrow region, in the position of the 'third eye'.||Ajna translates as command, and is considered as the eye of intuition; or in some cases, as the mind's eye. It is what allows the Moroniikioi to utilize mental telepathy and communicate with one another without actually speaking, either through words or through images. Meditation is the most common method of training one's Ajna chakra.|
|Vishuddha: The Throat Chakra||Vishuddha is positioned at the neck region near the spine, with its ksehtram or superficial activation point in the pit of the throat.||Vishuddha chakra is known as the purification center. Here the nectar amrit that drips down from the Bindu chakra, and is split into a pure form and a poison. This pure form is what allows one who utilizes the physical abilities of the Moroniikioi to utilize said abilities; while the poison can be used as such by mixing it with the forming bodily energy just before discharge; making it quite the offensive tool to be fit to utilize. Meditation is the most common method of training one's Vishuddha chakra.|
|Anahata: The Heart Chakra||The Anahata chakra is positioned in the central channel behind the spine at the heart region, with its kshetram or superficial activation site actually in the heart region between the two breasts.||Anahata is considered the seat of the Jivatman, and Para Shakti. In the Upanishads, this is described as being like a tiny flame that resided inside the heart. Those who utilize this particular Chakra gain a greater deal of control over their emotions, which, to say the least, is a lot safer than simply severing them as the Yuengiri tend to do instead. Due to this, it is often speculated that people can make actions outside the rules of karma, as one in full control of themselves will have a better chance of avoiding what many may consider fate; an example being surviving a battle they were prophesied to lose. One speculation made by Rosuto himself is that this particular chakra is often associated with the wind, which can prove to be quite calm in certain situations. Meditation is the most common method of training one's Anahata chakra.|
|Manipura: The Solar Plexus Chakra||Manipura is located at the spine directly behind either the navel or the solar plexus, depending on the system, while its kshetram or superficial activation point is located directly on the navel.||Manipura chakra is considered the center of dynamism, energy, willpower and achievement. It is mainly associated with the sense of sight, allowing one's who utilize this particular Chakra a great deal of natural sight; to the point they can analyze phenomena in a form of slow motion, which allows them a higher chance of avoiding attacks in battle. However, it should be noted that while the eyes may be fit to see the attack, it is all for naught if the body cannot react in time.|
|Swadhisthana: The Sacral Chakra||Swadhisthana is positioned at the tailbone, two finger-widths above Muladhara. Its corresponding point in the front of the body is at the pubic bone.||Swadhisthana chakra can be associated with the unconscious mind, though its main usage seems to revolve around water and its life-giving properties, allowing the Moroniikioi utilizing this particular Chakra to heal themselves and others at a extremely high rate. When in use, the bodily energy usually produced becomes visible, colored an aqua-marine blue, which can serve two main purposes. Its first is the increased natural healing the users body experiences, with the second being the knitting of wounds on either the users own body, or those of others.|
|Muladhara: The Base Chakra||Muladhara is said to be located near the basal end of the spinal in the vicinity of the coccygeal plexus beneath the sacrumit, while its kshetram, or superficial activation point, is located on the perineum.||Muladhara is considered the 'root' or 'foundation' chakra, and is the transcendental basis of physical nature. It is the chakra which allows one to safely mix both spiritual energy and physical energy in hybrid offspring of Humans and Shinigami effectively, allowing for a unification of forces so the user can effectively utilize the entirety of their power.|
Associated Effects Edit
|Third Eye:||An ability that has only been shown by Kentaro Hiroshi thus far. It allows the user access to higher brain functions such as telepathy, telekenisis and a small degree of clairvoyance, alongside increased perceptual skills.|

Physical Abilities Edit
By manipulating the bodily energy as opposed to the spiritual, a practitioner of the Moroniikioi arts can utilize the Chakra within their bodies to form various abilities that offer them a degree of flexibility during battles; especially when utilized by mere Humans who may have little, or indeed no control, over their spiritual energy. The physical abilities are listed below:
|1.||Seiryoku (せいりょく, lit. force, influence or power)||The individual forces their bodily energy into their hands, before releasing it in the form of an invisible, yet concussive wave of pure energy. The concussive force held within the attack is enough to demolish whole buildings and is quite fast. If used to often, however, the person will quickly drain themselves of their body’s energy.|
|2.||Sekkahirate (せっかひらて, lit. Flash Palm)||The individual forces their bodily energy into their striking hand and their legs; in order to move at a heightened pace to deal a powerful, Chakra enhanced strike that uses the momentum from moving quickly to add to the damage dealt.|
|3.||Shiden (しでん, lit. Swordflash)||The individual forces their bodily energy onto the blade of their weapon and slashes either vertically or horizontally. The energy is released at the moment of the slash in a condensed form with augmented cutting power.|
|4.||Seiidan (せいいだん, lit. Force Step)||The high-speed movement technique used by Human’s trained in Moroniikioi. It involves the user focusing their bodily energy into their feet and legs in order to augment their movement speeds. Although nowhere near as effective as Shunpo or Sonido, Seiidan allows for a movement at quick speed which can easily outrun most low-to-mid-level Hollow.|
Physical Enhancements Edit
Similarly to Quincy training with the Sanrei Glove, Moroniikioi receive various physical augmentations as they train and become more used to utilizing their Chakra levels. These enhancements are generally seen in the fields listed below:
Enhanced Energy Levels & Endurance: Just by being trained in the use of Moroniikioi, grants the user increased energy levels in order to make greater use of their abilities. The boost a person receives generally comes down to the individual, though in some cases, the increase can be vast.
Enhanced Durability: Everyone burns energy as a consequence of their everyday lives, though the Moroniikioi do not put their leaking energy to waste. By learning to channel their bodily energy, a Moroniikioi essentially become able to re-absorb their wasted energy in a way similar to how Hollows absorb spiritual energy from the atmosphere. This reused energy surrounds their bodies in order to increase their natural durability well beyond their usual capacity.
Enhanced Strength: By learning to channel their Chakra energies, a person can essentially increase their natural strength by augmenting punches, kicks etc, with bodily energy. While a useful application, it is quite draining if used for extended periods; not to mention damaging to the intended limb if used by a mere Human.

Behind the Scenes Edit
The idea for this is heavily based on the force of Chi seen in the first Golden Sun game and draws inspiration from the force of Chakra within various Hindu texts. I have tweaked some of the points to better suit what I want to portray, though the changes are quite minor.
Some of the textual information, especially the actual Chakra points mentioned above and their locations on the body, are gotten from the corresponding wikipedia articles which deal with the subject, with my own points added. Any credit for those particular phrases should be duly given to the contributors of wikipedia; who in my opinion, do one fantastic job.
