Matsuri Kudō (宮能まつ梨, Kudō Matsuri) was a Shinigami of the 13th Division, under Captain Jūshirō Ukitake and later Kaien Shiba. She was the 4th Seated Officer of her Division and hailed from Nanashi's World.

Zanpakutō[]
Kotōmaru (虎淘丸, Tiger Culler) has a rounded-off rectangular guard and a unique rod-like red hilt. Matsuri wears her Zanpakutō on her waist, held by a white cloth.

- Shikai: Its release command is "Swath" (断ち払え, Tachiharae). Released, its Shikai resembles a guandao, as it has a long, pole-like, handle and a double-edged blade. It also contains a small axe-like blade on the top, just above the hilt.
- Shikai Special Ability: Kotōmaru's Shikai is largely used for melee combat but possesses a number of special abilities.
- Kosō Renbu (虎陶円舞): Matsuri twirls Kotōmaru over her head and compresses spiritual energy within the blade. Afterwards, she swings it, and the area it is swung in is engulfed in a blue pillar of energy.
- Rengoku (煉獄, Purgatory; lit. "smelting/forging prison"): Matsuri swings her Zanpakutō forward, causing four geysers of flames to erupt from the ground. She can also perform the attack whilst in the air.
- Rasen (螺旋, Spiral; lit. "spiral-shell (as of a mollusk) swirl"): Matsuri raises her Zanpakutō in the air and violet energy surrounds her and engulfs anyone surrounding her. The energy itself can also randomly burn, freeze, shock, or poison anyone caught within the vicinity.
- Bankai: Not yet achieved.
